Used to drive it years ago.
 
top part up by barbury castle is smooth and graded, lower sections are pretty heavily rutted .. or were last time i was up that way
 
I'd be careful around there, much of the trail is chalk, any sign of moisture and it's like being on an ice rink as we found out today, mate punctured the Rally Raid fuel tank on his 690.....
 
IIRC Some of the trails around there do have restrictions on them, no motor vehicles between october and april.

So summer use only.
 
I had a look the other day as someone posted a ride report on it. It looked OK to me, signs are very clear on restrictions and you can find them all on the web site.
