Can Anyone out there shed any light on a problem I have, an heavy rattle from the left hand cylinder, I've check all the usual things ie valve gear, small ends, rings, big ends, cam followers,
any ideas.

The rocker gear runs on needle roller caged bearings, it may be possible that one of them has died?

It could be the timing chain.
