just a couple of questions about a previous thread concerning the topbox back rest
if the topbox is situated in the position of the pillion passenger seat (when riding solo) does the backrest reach and can it be used by the rider
also does anyone know the price of topbox and inner pannier bags and tank bag
many thanks

The backrest can be used by the rider (probably helps if you have long (er) arms)

I wear a back protector and I actually find leaning against the backrest in that position a PITA, since every little road bump rattles against your back, so I tend to sit a little forward usually to avoid it.

BMW Tank Bag is very good so far - £150

Pannier inners are £60 each, although I saw a link somewhere for cheaper alternatives which I think were £100 for the set. I haven't felt the need for inners yet - still considering it.

Inner bags on the cheap

Just got back from Asda - the youngest needed to stock up with supplies for the Festival this week and I noticed that Asda had a special on 20L cooler bags.

So I bought 6.

Here are two in the extended off-side pannier.

Here is a single one in the unextended near-side pannier.

They will do me for the time being for £10.38 - bargain :)
