700 miles of motorway bliss , first time abroad biking alone so not sure what to expect, those in the know say its great :nenau

Ill let you know.....

:duno what is 'bliss' about motorway miles?
dull road, expensive fuel stops, rubbish food, little if no views.
Take the small roads :thumb2 it is a Gelande StraBe bike
und es ist keine Autobahn moto genannt !!

Just finished packing the bike ready for 10 days around Germany, roll on 5 o/c - :JB

we met IJG, the event as a whole was crap, very very small site, limited amount of camping area so people arriving on sat had to camp outside the official camp areas.

Trying to get general info from the staff on ride outs or where the "enduro trails" were was next to impossible, no one knew and kept directing you to various points " maybe they know" and that was from the info stand :blast

We found the road ride outs were organised by a company trying to sell a gps based road book and he had loaded 2 routes on to the machine which you could try out.. nothing advertising this though!

only live music was for the gs challenge competitors in a seperate building, no entry for the normal visitors.

the exhibitors totaled about 10 stands, all their products can be found in the latest catalogue BTW.

In short a very poorly organised event.

Only good thing was the cost of food and drink and the breakfast buffet, but they ran out of coffee after 1.5 hours

I quite liked it there I must say.

I had quite a nice trip. Lots to see, cheap food and drinks, lots of helpful personnel (OK they can't know it all if they are just temporary), beautiful weather.
I suppose they were a bit overwhelmed by the number of people that turned up, but how do you predict?
I was at the first event and there were a few hundred visitors. Now there were thousands!

Cheers,
Michel
