Seems to compare quite well on servicing costs as well. Per Motorcycle Sport & Leisure Group test this month:

Triumph Sprint ST 4k mile interval. £180 minor service, £400 major

Honda VFR 4k miles; £180; £450

Ducati ST3 6k miles; £325; £490 (Yikes!)

BMW R1100S 6k miles; £160; £250

Another mag that can't be bothered to check their facts and figures. Ride tested virtually the same bikes recently (ST4 Ducati instead of the ST3) and they also put the Triumph service intervals down as every 4k. The reality is they are every 6k for a minor and 12k for a major.
