Split fuel tank (plastic)

Anyone used an epoxy that is 'petrol resistant'...?
I have a 'weeping' plastic tank where a metal insert has turned due to a rusted fastener.
A mate suggested JB Weld.....
Most stuff I have tried over the years generally gets affected by the fuel...
