Having bought some rear crash bars for my RK i attempted fitment tonight to no avail...

I removed the panniers/seat to expose the mounting points for the bars and the bike already has lower bars that the panniers sit on so it looks like the ones i bought wont fit unless i do some modifications, i.e. cut the lower tubes to fit the crash bars. (the crash bars have a 2 inch piece of tubing attached that looks as though it will go over the bar on the bike).

So, can anyone take a picture of there rear crashbar mount points with the panniers off please so i can see what one looks like? It's a 2006 RK Classic.

Thanks,,

Looks like you can buy crash bar eliminators.... Perhaps you have these. Looks like more OE parts are required!!!

Yep, thanks Twizzle, looks like thats the case!:blast:blast

Although it looks as though the ID of the crash bars is the same as the OD of the eliminators so, perhaps with some careful measuring/cutting i can make them fit.

Right,

Done a bit of measuring and it would appear the 'eliminators' wont be suitable. If i cut them they wont be long enough to fit into the holes on the crash bar properly :(

So, does anyone have the bars i'm after, and fancies swapping them for the 'eliminators' ?
