Any top tips on a decent hand (as in man-powered) pump to carry on trail rides in the event of a flat?

Blackburn Airstick.
Pretty much indestructible and can be overhauled to replace seals etc when required.

Cheap 12v compressor from a car accessory shop works for me. Strip off the outer casing and carry it in a small bag. Replace the ciggie adaptor with a couple of crocodile clips to connect to your battery.

Cheers pedro. Cheap too - could be just what I'm looking for.

Thinking about it Possu, I've got a Slime tyre inflator for my GS. Guess I could take that on the trails and connect it direct to the battery.

Takes a bloody log time and a lot of effort to pump a tyre with a hand pump
even if yer good at w888ing
