Having read a few of the regional area posts I think it might be a good idea to have an informal evening get together at a mutually agreeable location (PUB)

Did this last year on a cold and damp evening in the Neath Valley and 4 of us turned up.

Hopefully it would encourage a few of the newer members to show their faces and increase the number of group ride-outs we infrequently have.

Open to sugestions (except rude ones) we could even meet our brotheren from the North, what do you reckon Rocks.

Appreciate we're spread out but lets make the effort.

That seems a good idea.

What about a pub not too far from the M4 to encourage those further afield, possibly around Cardiff (no I don't live in Cardiff, I'm about 25m east of Cardiff).

A possibility might be at Tongwynlais on the A4054 at the junction to Castell Coch, there are a few pubs there, but I can't remember their names (the one on the left when heading north has a skittles alley - might be useful for the future!)

Days..

Are you thinking of a week day night, or a weekend night?

The M4 is a long way south for me in terms of time. Not overly long in distance, just no quick route there.

Would be up for a meet around the mid wales part..

Abercrave

I would be up for a meet at the Abercrave Inn (Good Grub) or nearby.

With the dark nights approaching I would not want to go too far.

Open to all ideas however I would have concerns over bike secuity in Tongwynlais Bob, but a skittle alley sounds good.

Even if we had a rotating venue every other month or once a quarter it would help get this area going a little.

What if we say early November for a meet in Abercrave same as last time and select further locations as we go. That will give people from a large area of Wales a chance to kick it off.

Rocks appreciate it may be too far for you to travel but we could schedule a subsequent one further North.

Alternating the venue to accomodate members from all regions sounds good,so long as we don't have to go to Llanwrtyd Wells

Week Nights rule me out

You rotten lot !!!!

I sneak off to america for a cuppla weeks and now your all planning to meet on week nights when I am always stuck in Hampshire.

Fantastic idea, just make some of them a Friday or Saturday night will ya

P.S will be arriving home this Friday so whose up for a ride on Sunday ?

Sorry about the week night but perhaps next time if the clan are up for a weekend evening meet we'll have one.

As for next weekend I'm off to North Wales for a run, staying over on Saturday night.
