Touratech crash bars

Just fitted Touratechs crash bars on my 12 r12rt and the crossover bar is hard against the front of the engine block !
Has anyone fitted these bars to their RT, if so is there a gap between the engine and crossover bar?
The bars say 'ALL YEARS' so i assume that includes this years models?

I think its Touratech bars on mine (2012). Fit close to the engine but without touching.

emailed Touratech, they sais "some touch, some dont" ??
