Can somebody let me know if I've got the operation of the Autoswitch right?

1/ Press the Highbeam flash for 1 to 1.5 secs switches on the Autoswitch.

2/ Pressing it again for 1 to 1.5 secs switches it off again.

Is that it?

Yes, but only if you have gone for the version that works with the highbeam flash button.

Rob, forgive me, but I don't know what bike you have. Most of the 1150 users opt for the Autoswitch that works in the same way except using the indicator cancel button. If you have a 650, I guess that option is not available to you.

The Autoswitches are different! The indicator cancel version works by earthing the trigger wire. The headlamp flash version works by shoving 12v up the trigger wire. The wrong way round is likely to be fatal to your Autoswitch.

:)

PS If you're really into this, you could use two Autoswitches for different applications!

Greg,

Thanks for that.

I've got an 1100 and was going to use the flash button.
I was only asking because I made my own, miserable weekend so nothing better to do, and wondered if my understanding of the Autoswitch operation was correct. I was trying to think what else I could do with it.

Cheers
