Just in the process of refurbishing a hall sensor plate to fit to my bike. It seemed sensible to renew the cabling as there are reports of this failing as well as the sensors.

The only place I can find that sells high temp silicone cable by the metre is Maplins

and they only do two colours. Anyone know anywhere else who sells it ?

Try an electrical factors like City Electrical. I have used it in the past for smoke detectors.

I tried them, they will only sell in 100m lengths. I've just emailed half a dozen model shops in my area to see if they have any. I actually only need 22swg, the stuff at Maplin is going to be too thick.

you might get way with normal wire covered in silicon heat shrink tubing

It's possible, but I like the idea that the silicone insulated cable is more flexible, might stop it breaking from the vibration?
