I'm out on my 1150GS in Augsburg, Southern Germany, and will be making my way across to the central Pyrenees to meet up with my brother and family. In between stands the Alps and all that fun.
I'll have 4 days to get there but seeing as it's quite early in the season I am seeking advice as to how I can check whether the passes are open. Is there a website with this information? It would be best if I could plan a route with reasonable certainity as I know some passes will not yet be open. Anyone have any suggestions, please?

Whoo, Col de la Cayolle and Allos are open already hurrah! Oops forgot the link in my excitement :-D HERE

Many thanks. That's a very useful link. Do similar ones exist for the German / Swiss / Italian Alps?

Superb! Many thanks for your assistance. I'm looking forward to a great few days' riding over the Alps. Should be awesome to do it this early in the season and no doubt will see plenty of snow!
