5 SPD BOX

I have a question about my gearbox. I think

I can hear a noise from the box.

Starts in 2nd, is in 3rd and gets noisier in 4th. It completely disappears in 5th (top).

Only thing I can describe it as is a 'whirry' noise, bit 'bearingy' perhaps.

Anyone confirm theirs does it as well??

It's a 2006 1458 RK Classic.

I can't hear my gearbox over the exhaust and the stereo :chickendance

I'm no Harley man, man, but my guess would be that if you can hear anything mechanical over the sound of exhaust then you are probably doing something wrong :blast

90k on the clock and as smooth as silk!!! No noises sorry.... ( other than the fucking racket that comes out the zorst...)

I seem to recall reading about whining gearboxes some time ago. Might be worth a try. It will either put your mind at rest or put the fear of God in you!
