There is a thread running on the HDRCGB site in their touring section about 5 guys riding all the way around China on Harlies 
The pictures are absolutely awesome and the commentary on Chinese regions is fascinating. The route includes Tibet and the Everest base camp, alpine quality roads and some desert tracks that would be tend of neon my GSA let alone an Electra Glide or a Road King
