I have recently bought a 2004 1150 RT with 39K showing. It's a great bike which I will use all year round. One criticism I have is the turn in feels heavy and unresponsive. Having tested a new RT and then getting back on mine the difference was obvious. I realise that that is to be expected but wondered if mine is 'how they are' or could there be something wrong with mine or is there a modification I could have done to improve the 'feel'. :beerjug:

I run mine with higher than recommended tyre pressures. 38 front and 43 rear. Makes a huge difference to the handling and also improves tyre life for some unknown reason.

Thanks, I'll give that a go :beerjug: any other suggestions out there :thumb

Yes, don't compare an 1100/1150RT with a 1200RT!!!!!

John

Not really making a comparison as I realise there has been a massive amount of development in 8 years:thumb2

I was asking if that's how they are? If that's the case fine I can live with that, for now :rob

But is it?

I will play with the tyre pressures when I get back to the UK.

Thanks for your imput

Hi Deak

Just home and have tried the tyre pressures. It does make a positive difference so thanks again for the tip :beerjug:
