The new 4.50 software for the Montana includes an "ANT Sensor" menu item.
Allows you to connect, among other things, a temperature sensor.

From their blurb: Garmin ANT Agent detects any paired Garmin devices in range and automatically downloads fitness data to your computer and transfers the data to Garmin Connect™.

Dose that mean the BT is there, but in RX and not TX mode:nenau?

It must be able to transmit as it says you can share waypoints etc with other handheld units so more than just receiving data from temperature or fitness units.

External wireless temprature sensor for the Montana, now I do like that!

Just confirmed, the temperature can be displayed on the Montana and it's recorded to the tracklog, it will run continuously on its own battery for around 1 year (there is no on/off switch, you take the batter out to turn off), oh, and its about the size of the end of your thumb ie tiny
