A red K100RT, E reg, and with 80K miles on the clock, a bit of a heap in fact. And it was locked up outside his house in kingston. Disappeared overnight.

The police told him an east european gang is driving around and chucking any bikes they can get hold of into the back of a van/lorry. They are then packing them into a container and sending them all to "wherever". The bloke at the other end is paying them a couple of thousand per container no matter what bikes are inside.
Hence why they nicked his old shitter of a K series. It's nothing more than container fodder/filler..

Also had a customer have his R1150RT stolen last month from the bike bay in Berkley square. A high mileage, 100K mile rough example.
Seems like anything is fair game at the moment.

Good stuff.

With a bit of luck they'll get my old shitter of an 1100 :D

Reckon they'll make it to the People's Republic of Bampton?

The start of the K thread has a lot of answer for!!! I suspect insurance payouts for bikes like those will no way come close to matching the 'value' of these well used bike for their owners.

I work in London and will keep a eye out for the K but I doubt we ever see that again :-(

Well, the stolen K100RT has turned up after all this time.

Found in a industrial unit in Feltham, along with a few other bikes.
And a couple of scrotes are helping with enquiries

Good to hear, pity they won't get eastern Europe style justice!
