Mauritanian efficiency

I'm gobsmacked........

On Wednesday AFTERNOON, I posted off my passport, a visa application and forty two pounds in an envelope from the post office.

This morning, Friday, I got my stamped passport back.

If only English beaurocracy could work so well!!!

(and no, i'm not naieve enough to think we're still not going to sit on various borders on the way down for 12 hours......I'm just bloody impressed with the Mauritanian Embassy )

Don't you just hate it when this happens........

Got to another letter recieved in the post....

'with reference to the above, I confirm that the above ticket has now been paid and your driving licence is enclosed herewith, duly endorsed.

Yours Sincerely, Mrs D Tailby, Fixed panalty orifice.'

Licence and scamamera ticket were sent same time as Visa app.

Funny how they're just as fast but only when they're taking money off you.

Bah.
