Learner permit question

Does anyone know what story is for 20 year old who has passed A1 test and wants to move on to bigger bike? Do they have to do CBT or whatever it's called before they can take bigger bike on the road? And that bike will now be subjected to A2 restrictions - correct?

Hi,

I think he will have to go through the process of getting an A2 learner permit. If he has done IBT already he will just have to do a conversion module. If he has not done IBT I think he may have to do the full IBT course.

Thanks. He missed having to do the IBT cos he'd had his learner permit for a year or so and did the A1 test last year. I have a feeling he's going to have to do the course even though he's basically passed the test albeit on a smaller bike (but not that small - Varadero125) Will have to see...

Check the MAG Ireland site for more info, I think he will have to complete the IBT and the 5th module as well.
