First of all, I have an LC ordered, replacing my 04 GS. With luck it will be mine by mid April.
I, as with most of you here have been reading with great anticipation and interest all I can on the new bike.
I have serious concerns regarding all of the electronic assistance modes that are being promoted as "advancements". What is my brain supposed to do when all of those years of training and instinctive behaviour gets overridden by technology? What do I do when conditions change? Am I to charge on, knowing that I will be taken care of by ASC, ETC or whatever. Controlling a motorcycle is a skill that we have honed over our riding lifetimes. Is it going to be like someone grabbing the wheel while you're driving? ABS I agree with, but someone else controlling the throttle--no. That is why my bike will have standard suspension and controls, letting me decide what goes on.
