Thought I would share the reliability news, I left the UK just over three months ago, and have now covered just over 22,000 km via North Cape and Naples on my 12 yr old 1150 GSA, shes a bit more battered (I call it character) after being pushed off by a coach in Norway and have used 5 tyres, one set of rear pads, one oil and air filter and about 6 litres of oil (including one change) - odometer reads just under 68,000 miles now, no niggles, no more or louder rattles - she has been a star, reliable at extremes of low temperatures in northern Norway and plus forty in Rome - been fantastic and reinforces my view that these bikes just need to be ridden every day... all i need to do now is sort out 1500 photographs and write up my exploits...
