Well apart from carrying the spare bits that are not that expensive (and a casing Gasket!!!)

Ingenious but a bit whacky.....I can't believe they wouldn't have been able to find a 12v water pump from somewhere.....pond pumps, caravans, aquariums, boats.......

Ah well....it worked and it got them out of the stew, that's the main thing

That's Heikes F650GS............Met her at the Touratech Travel Event in 2011 then she visited us here in Scotland before travelling around the world on a washing machine............The pump worked well enough until they could get spares and now they're somewhere in Australia!
