For good quailty reasonably priced accommodation try the Konigs Hotel, also has secure parking. "Damn it,now everyone knows"

We stayed at the Ibis next to the railway station. Depending which ferry crossing you're using, you can combine the Black Forest with the Eifel mountains (Nurburgring), Mosel valley and Rhine gorge. Try www.motor-bike-hotels.com or http://www.tourenfahrer-hotels.de/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabindex=1&tabid=3&CountryID=2®ionid=47 for accommodation

Go through the Vosges Mountains east of Strasbourg to reach the Black Forest, even better. I know of a bike friendly hotel in Strasbourg with secure garages if you fancy visiting.
