Have noticed a number of members have replaced standard 1150 tank with adventure tank.
Is this an easy job, is there any problems to look out for.
The fuel gauge sender will give a false reading but i can live with that!
The dealer tells me that there are some clips you have to us that require a special tool??
Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Everything from your standard tank transfers straight over, new seals are a good idea. A cross over pipe from the lobes is needed with a QD connector so you can get the tank off, if you have not got QDs on the normal fuel pipes its a good time to put them on. The Fuel gauge reads differently, light on at about 250mls with a gallon or so left. The badges for the Adv tank are different to the standard tank if. As a mechanical dullard I did the job myself. The best Mod I have done
