replacing shocks

is it possible to replace standard showas with a shorter pair of ohlins in order for me to get more of my feet on the ground?

I might have a set of WP shocks (f&r) that are 1 inch shorter, which brings down the seat height, I cant make up my mind if I like it that way cause its almost a road bike, however the improvement in shock performance is unbelievable.
I live in Manchester so if you want to know the difference this mod makes we can always meet up halfway and you can see for yourself

You could also try an adjustable torque arm: lengthening it will make the bike slightly longer and sit lower.
