Help!

hi guys


my BMW 1V will not find any satellite signal, continually saying "acquiring satellites"


i've updated, done a master reset, even promised to drive at the speed limit all to no avail


Is there any one thats had similar problems and can help please?

Is there a setup screen that shows how many satellites the unit is 'seeing' ?

If there is and it's detecting a couple, try manually setting your location to where you are, then leave it to itself for 20 mins outside.

(After a reset, a GPS has no idea where it is on the planet, so it starts looking through its entire database.....manually telling it where you are gives it a head start and often sorts it)

If there is no sign of life on that screen, you can get an external aerial from Maplins for about a tenner...assuming your unit has an external port, that should sort it out
