Could it be called a classic? It's been stored in a living room for over 10 years has less than 10k and came with over 6k of service receipts from Rosso corse. It's had a few sensible mods the best being a set of 41 kliens Wilbers rear shock and brembo radial clutch and brakes cylinders. Goes like stink..

Yep a clasic I had a 93 one for a couple of years in the 90's, bought it from my brother in law for £1 , then sold it back to him for the same a few years later.
Very soft wheels mind you

Yep I think thats a classic, if only because the Monster range catapulted Ducati bikes back into mainstream riding. They were sporty,rorty and at the right price point for entry level riders (in 600 cc form).
Yes the 916 sealed the revival but the monster really played its part.
I still like the S4R and could look at one all day.

Hmnnn,I have a 2002 Monster 900 Dark with less than 4000 miles on the clock!! I don't get out much ;) :eek:
