SD Card and Sat Nav V problems

Been trying to put mp3 music on my SD Card but the unit will not play.
After much re formatting and changing cards, the unit will now no longer switch on with the SD Card inserted.

If I remove the SD Card the unit switches on and operates as it should.
Think I need to talk to the Technical Guys at Garmin.
Has anyone else experienced the same type of problem?

Not sure how your putting music on .......this is what I do .

New card inserted into nav , plug into laptop, I have a folder of MP3s ( it has to be this format only ) i open up the nav folder on the PC , which shows the fav and the card separate, and drag the music folder into card . Works great

If the files of music I want to load are not MP3 I convert these in iTunes to the correct one and can drag them over too .

There was a thread recently about SD Cards and it was down to the formatting of the SD Card.

Hi All,
Problem now sorted.
I wouldn't have believed it................3 Sd Cards all turned out to be 'duff'.
Went round to a 'Mate's' and used his SD card (known ti be OK) and viola...................worked like a dream.
