Yamaha Tracer 700

I was in a Yam dealer today and they were eagerly awaiting an announcement at 3pm. The chap I was speaking with had it bang on.

Should sell very well.

Just see the first ads on eBay and elsewhere on the net for these, and came here to check folks were in the know and clearly the jungle drums have worked. It looks good value and well finished and will undoubtedly sell well at the price and rightly so in my opinion.

I might even get one for the missus .............................

That sounds like a fair swop! :)

I currently have a brand new XSR700 in the workshop for a paint job. It uses the same parallel 700cc twin as the MT07 and the new tracer. I took it for a spin before I started work, what an utterly awesome engine ;)

Brill, aren't they?

Lots of modern engines are, to my mind, so sanitised that their super-flat torque curves make them pretty dull and hard to get excited about.

With that 700 Yam, when you accelerate hard it's like someone just shouted "CHARGE!!!!!!!" and it all kicks off. Reminds me a little of the way a 640 KTM gathers pace.

So... tell us, what's the paint job going to be?
