Been a long, long time since I've frequented this place but it's funny that it is the first place I thought of, to get a bit of advice.
We moved overseas about 8 years ago, but kept our UK house and left my GS Adv in the garage, SORN'd but uninsured.
I got a phone call from my brother-in-law yesterday to advise me that some scrote had broken into the garage and nicked my bike. Now, as you can imagine, a GS that has been laid up for 8 years isn't the easiest thing to move and apparently they pushed it about a mile before abandoning it in someone's garden. Fortunately, the householder phoned the police and it has been recovered and is seemingly alright. So, that's good.
But it did get me thinking that maybe I should have it insured, at least for fire and theft.
I'm very out of touch with UK insurance and was wondering if you guys could suggest the best company to get coverage from.
