590 Loom question

My 590 arrived today and I've just spent the last hour putting the cradle on the bike (I think I'm going to take all that wire out again and follow Gerrardwatts suggestion re side cutters!!).

I understand the audio jack sockets are likely for autocomm connection but I cannot find any reference to the USB socket on the loom. Can anybody enlighten me please?

It's a powered usb I have used it to charge up helmet at times

Does the 590 not fit into the original GPS cradle on the TE?

I bought a gadget to plug in to the front aux socket that has two USB sockets to charg my phone and if needed, the Bluetooth unit in my helmet. You can't have too many USB sockets on the bike though and this might mean a better cable route between the helmet and the power supply.

Worth noting the socket only gets power when the Zumo is in the cradle.
