R1200R 2015 sales

Seeing wildoat's post made me think...

...I wonder how many R1200Rs BMW have sold other than the demonstrators?

Looking at bikes for sale on Autotrader etc, it's very rare to see one that's not fully loaded with all the packs, as per the demo models.

Hi. I don't know the sales of the LC R1200R during 2015, but a couple of years ago I was interested in the same topic and so contacted Munich and I got this reply. I would imagine that sales of the LC model are at least the same if not higher:

Dear Mr. Anning,

There have been produced 1.301 units of air/oil cooled BMW R 1200 R in 2014.

That's not that many worldwide sales. Makes you wonder if it's worth their while.

That sounds like just UK production. I read that the model is a big seller in Europe. Number were quoted which I can't remember but they were surprisingly large (over the lifetime of the previous model, not just one year)
