Hi All,
Been lurking & reading for a while, finally mustered the courage to say "hi".
I've been riding a few years now, mainly commuting into London (110 miles round trip a day) which has meant that generally by the time the weekend arrives, the last thing I want to do is sit on the bike again - so they've been tools rather than items of pleasure.
The last bike was a Pan European ST1100 which I'd had for 8 years, as luck would have it firstly work now allows us to work from home a couple of days a week & secondly I was knocked off of it in January, which meant I could get a bike that I could hopefully enjoy at weekends too!
I went for a 2012 F650GS SE (Yellow & Black) and love it to bits! It's nice to ride a light bike for once, although I'm still getting used to the handling at slow speed compared to the Pan and the tiny brakes which mean I have to plan ahead a bit more.
And at 70mpg it's using nearly 5 litres of fuel a day less than the old Pan was!
Looking forwards to getting out & about on it & hopefully a bit of UK touring on it this year.
Cheers,
Damon
