In the Co. Tipperary NR, take the road from Upperchurch to Borrisoleigh - if you can find it, there are no signpost. Mostly single track, up and down hill, twisting and turning. Take the R501 to Templemore and then the R502 through Templetouhy to Johnstown. The last section is the worst stretch of road I ever encountered in nearly 40 years of biking, exceeding those in Donegal.
Dangerous on anything from a bicycle upwards.
