Routes from 2610 to street pilot 111

I have a 2610 & my friend has a street pilot 111. We just tried to download maps & routes from my computer to his SP 111 ,the maps downloaded but not the routes ?? any ideas why?

I'm wondering if the SP3 is not recognised by the Garmin software on the PC and therefore is giving the problem. Surprised it still downloaded the maps though.

FWIW, I have a SP3 and 2610 both with the serail numbers in the PC and have never had problems where only one part of a download would not occur. Plenty of times had problems with the PC / SP3 locking up during the download.

Just a stab in the dark this one, but is it possible that your files are in a different format ? I know my SP3 once had problems with a file Dennis sent me - as I was still on mps format files, and the one received was a gdb format file. It may be worth checking which version of Mapsource you are both using, but from memory, in my case a free upgrade from the Garmin site was all that was needed.
