Hope that I don't bore you all. Here are some photos and a bit of information about them from my (sadly now passed) trip...

next is a village near Fussen in Allgau. You can see Schloss Neuschwanstein in the distance.

here is a photo of me in my blue BMW jacket and biker boots with no grip struggling to the top of Zugspitz. I must have been on drugs!

This is Hantenjoch which is an Austrian Alpine pass heading to Imst. It was en route to Timmelsjoch and gave me a slight idea of what was to come...

The following photos are taken on Timmelsjoch. I will simply number them. There is really no need for words to describe the pass...

3. Well, I might need a wee bit explaining here. If you look closely, you can see the road zig zagging up the mountainside...

This is an Austrian Alpine mountain village near Stanzach. The wooden huts have no electricity or running water. Fresh water serves the thirty or so huts from 3 wells in the village. It is simply stunning although my photos don't do it credit.

Hinterstadtl, Jockgrim again. The house to the right (rear) of my bike belongs to my Aunt. It was my grandparents house before they died and would have been passed down to my Dad (and then to me) had he not decided to settle in Blairgowrie! Oh well, c'est la vie! (as they say 12 kilometers from Jockgrim)

Grizzly und Mein Vater

Grizzly and his good wife Joyce dropped in on us when they were travelling through Germany. We had a very enjoyable day in their company. Here is a pic of Grizzly and my old man.

Co-incidently, Grizzly works in the same department of Michelin, Dundee as my old man did when he lived in Scotland. Small world. eh?

Here are the two Michelin Men...

Well, that's it then for another year...great memories.

One slight hiccup though was having to kit out Mrs Ronno with lighter jacket, trousers and gloves due to the temperatures being in the mid 30s for the first few days of our trip. Her Hein Gericke gear is OK for Scottish summers but no use on the continent. We found a good BMW dealership in Landau and she got an Air Flow 3 jacket and summer trousers as well as Air Flow gloves.

A day or so later and my leather trousers actually stuck to the seat when I tried to put my foot on the ground at lights. I also had to get a pair of the summer trousers.

Can't wait till I get my Visa bill :(
