I'll be riding from Cambridge to Edinburgh and rather than being bored out of my tree on the A1 / A1M i'm looking for a twisty / interesting route home.

Any suggestions gratly appreciated.

Cheers

Never been to Scotland by road but some parts of the A15 from Peterborough up through Lincolnshire are pretty nice, although there are a few more speed cameras than there used to be.

From what I recall, there is a nice B road off the the right after Bourne that takes you up to Sleaford and from there another route to Lincoln.

The A15 goes up as far as Humberside and I'm lost from thereon.............................

Get over the Humber bridge and zig zag up the Pennines, you'll find loads of empty roads that twist and turn until your dizzy.

Stay on the A1 all the way to Scotch Corner.

A66 to Barnard Castle

B6277 to Alston

A689 to Brampton

A7 from Longtown to Selkirk

A72 to Peebles

A703 towards Edinburgh
