Cleaning the screen

Hi All, had my 650 for a month now, getting to grips with it now, and really starting to enjoy it. Anyway, its been a bit rainy up here in Scotland, as is Scotlands want, anyway, got to clean the bike the other day, and apart from the valet mode on the alarm getting really annoying it was enjoyable, got it looking like new again. Getting there, the only bit I can't get clean is the underside of the screen, there are a couple of biggish dead things in there and cant get anything down there to clean them off - wanted to know if there was a technique or is it ok to take the screen off?

See if you can jam a wet dishcloth in there up against said dead things, and leave overnight. It should loosen them off enough to be scrubbed off.

Removing the screen is not a major task either
