Have a look at Whatton's Gmail thread.....

http://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55768

This prog lists the people who are online, then with one click (assuming you have speakers and a microphone) you can be talking to them, hands free, in proper good sound quality...might well come in handy for us :thumb

PS it's free, and obviously the calls are free too :thumb

I know MrIfan's got Gmail (but no microphone) and in that case, he can hear others but has to type in his answers in the chat box that comes up.

Might well be worth getting :thumb (link from Kev's thread)

I think Skype is better and you can call normal numbers, leave voicemail and shortly videconf. All for the price of 0.00 (apart from ex-net calls and voicemail...)

Bummer.!

Skype is still generally considered a better system - I've been using it for ages and its great - I can gossip to friends in Australia and Canada for free And for work its a great tool - particularly if the mobile network and ordinary landlines are down!
