hi everyone
Thought i would introduce myself as i am a new member. Recently purchased a new 1200gs, just wondered if anyone had experienced any problem when turning ignition on. The bike started without touching the start button this happened twice concurrent but hasnt done it again so far !!

Yep, Custard Tarts 1200 did the same, when it was about aweek old, around the 800 mile mark. The starter button was sticky, Sprayed with WD40 and gave it a bit of exercise, been ok since.

Yep, I had mine do that and it also kept the starter motor turning while the engine was running.
Dealer "had never seen this before" and replaced the complete switch.

Also happens if you stall the bike in gear with the side stand down. Pull in clutch, bike starts
