off to paris for some christmas shopping next week :D so, anyone know of a proper specialist cheese shop in central paris where i can satisfy my cheese addiction ?

Strangely Cheesy Mike will also be in Paris next week. I have meetings in Paris and Velizy from Tuesday-Thursday. I booked the ticket yesterday. £550 for an economy class flight on BA from Bristol

Not sure about cheese shops in Paris but if you ever go to Israel you will find the most famous cheese shop in the world - Cheeses of Nazareth

Which reminds me, perfect time of year to pull out this old gem....

If you are standing outside the Moulin Rouge walk right , take the third street along and head up the hill. This will bring you to a shopping street which runs parrallel to the road that the Moulin rouge is on. Its Rue Des Abbesses I think around about nr 27 or 29 but I can't remember the name of the shop . Its a fantastic specialist cheese emporium on that street. The other way to get there is on the metro to station Abbesses. As you come up the steps out of the station it brings you out onto a little tree lined square. The shopping street is down on the right and about 200 meters down is the cheese shop. You are only a few minutes from Montmartre so pop up and visit the street artists while you are there too :D
