Techlusion Chip for F650GS

Just had a Techlusion Chip fitted to Lisa's F650GS. Nice bit of kit but very basic for the price . . . £170 !*££*!**!

Initial impressions are good but I was expecting the kind of difference realised when you junk the Cat off the 1150. Not quite as dramatic but certainly well worth considering.

The Chip has three adjustments for cruise, bottom end and top end. The top end's been left alone as Lisa revs the nuts off the bike anyway and it's a really brisk performer at 5,000+ revs. What the Chip has done is made the bike much more tractable at lower revs. It's smoother and crisper, pulling very easily (but not dramatically) from 2,000 revs without the usual bone-shaking clatter of a big single. You can let the revs drop down to 3,000 now and pull away comfortably and briskly without having to change down. All-in-all it's made the bike much nicer to ride in relaxed mode (as opposed to needing to be ridden permanently in manic mode).

While at it, I've also fitted a Touratech front low mudguard to stop the crap flying up through the cockpit bay - looks good too - and Wunderlich adjustable clutch and brake levers (a must for the ladies and gents with small hands) and a braided front hose. The bike is a little gem and much under-rated by the big boys.
