I came across this very clever idea (not mine) - on board 12volt air compressor mounted into the space under the tank . If you have a non-ABS machine (like me) you have a nice space available to hide a compressor away. Great for pumping up tires, inflating airbeds and other 'blow jobs' 
The air hose coils up and sits neatly out the way under the front seat on top of the air filter. Highly innovative I think .
