Possible to prevent 2610 waypoints from displaying?

Save the file, then open a new map.........voila, no wp's.

Before creating them, go to Edit>Preferences>Waypoint and change 'display' from 'symbol and name' to 'symbol'.
On ones you've already created, right click on each waypoint, then click on 'waypoint properties' and change the display setting.
