Cat code plug

Can someone tell me where the cat code plug lives on my bike, I assume that it is in the Fuse box but I have looked and I don't seem to have one is this correct do some bikes come with them not fitted ?.
If anyone has a picture to show where it is it would be much appreciated.

Hi simon,
i dont have a cat fitted to my 1996 r1100gs but i have the cables to fit i think youll find them behind fuse box right handside above mudguard behind tool tray.

the coutry coding cat plug is number 3 on the attached extract from the bm manual

There's never been one in mine either. Doesn't seem to have been a problem.

It looks as if I've never had one either then.

The reason that I ask is that I have fitted the 'Y' piece and Remus and the bike runs a lot cleaner I just wondered if I now fit the K&N and it starts to run lean what I then do to richen it back up ?

lean running

i fitted a K+N to my bike and asked the same question, as it does run lean. The answer to lean running is at "K+N air filter" posted by my self on the Technical forum, Rob Farmer gave the best explination, you will need to know how to syncronise the throttle bodies afterwards though. I would recomend a K+N to everyone, it gives more grunt with a race system. :beerjug:
