Are all System panniers case's the same? ie can a set from a K1200 or RT be fitted to a GS Adventure assuming the rails are in place.

No most are different,only panniers on R's and GS's are interchangeable.

Thanks Johnny, thought I had found a good deal on Ebay but they are off a K.
So did I,but then saw they were for a K12,too
There are 2 sets on there that will fit your GS if you look under BMW in accessories.

System Cases....
BMW System cases for a K1200RS WILL fit a GS as it too has an upswept exhaust. The case carcass is identical......

Who is correct.........???
Originally I thought that they would, but dealers tell me that the lugs for a K12 are slightly different and mounted in a different position,than the R or GS system case backs.Dutchman said:

My pal has both 'bikes......GS & KRS, uses the same cases on both......
Now I'll have to ask him how he does it........
