Just travelled one of my favourite roads, the A470 Llandudno - Cardiff, on an R850R. South of Blaenau Ffestiniog it is a nightmare for bikes at the mo, there is widening work ongoing for a distance of about 10 miles, temporary traffic lights everywhere, a 30mph restriction with mud and slime all over the road. Had a few hairy moments even at low speed and a local girl tells me there have been loads of 2-wheeled casualties. Give it a miss I reckon.
