R80G/S Bar Raisers

Hi
Is it possible to fit handlebar raisers on the R80G/S. I haven't loosened the bars off yet, but it looks as though the top bar clamps have the studs fixed in them, if so I guess its not possible to fit in normal spacer type raisers?

In a word Ray, yes.
Shown in Touratech catalogue as being for the R100GS but I have them on my '85 G/S and they bolted straight on IIRC.

They are called 'Handlebar Risers, STD black'. Part number is 040-0260.
They raise the bars by about 2", enough to make a big difference. Can't remember the price tho', it was a few years back.

hi ray,i have just fitted bar raisers.
they look like someone has longer threaded bar into the top clamps,then made oval shaped spacers to fit underneath.
they look homemade.
i havent seen any other types yet.
