In a recent mail concerning when BMW Nav. owners were going to get the v5 update I received this reply from Rudiger Deubert,

But you can get the Version 5 Update CD at your BMW Motorrad dealer.

Free, so I am told.

But, wait for it , when looking at the Garmin web site I thought I would try the unlock update cd sequence once more, just for luck, as in the past when I tried this the cost was $150.
Today the amount box had $0.00 YES $0.00
so I followed the rest of the unlock steps and received my ulock code FREE .
And it works.
Phoned Garmin and they don't know why.
Anybody any idea why?

Off route, recalculate?
